摘要 | In this study, we acquired conch-shell Hydroxyapatite (cHA)with a mean size of 99.41 nm using a microwave-assisted method, and hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride chitosan (HACC) with a molecular weight of 41 kDa was synthesized from deacetylated chitosan. These two additives were added to plain PMMA bone cement, improving its biological activity. It was shown that the addition of cHA and HACC balanced the mechanical performance and porosity of the implant, improving its biocompatibility with mouse pre-osteoblasts (MC3T3-E1). A composite cement with 30 wt% cHA and 0.5 wt% HACC significantly enhanced mineralization efficiency, protein adsorption, and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity. |
