AbstractA facile method has been used to prepare highly dispersed Ag nanoparticles on graphene, which start from an initial modification of Ag nanoparticles with propyl mercaptan molecules. The structure and morphology of the obtained Ag/graphene composites have been characterized by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The catalytic properties of Ag/graphene composites for hydrazine electro-oxidation have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The enhanced electrocatalytic activity of Ag/graphene composites can be observed, which may be attributed to the small particle size and good dispersion of Ag nanoparticles as well as the unique structure and excellent conductivity of graphene. The results imply that Ag/graphene composites had a very promising application in fuel cells.
